Supports Coordinator

 

The Supports Coordinator‘s position involves the location, coordination, and monitoring of needed services and supports for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Supports Coordinator assists participants in obtaining and coordinating needed waiver and other services to ensure health and safety.

The Supports Coordinator must be organized, have excellent communication and time management skills, the ability to work effectively with people with disabilities, to aid them to meet outcomes based on their needs.

Caseload area; Philadelphia, Eastern Montgomery County. This position requires travel to participants’ homes and community locations.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university which is supplemented by at least 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or other related social sciences. Must present a clean PA Criminal background check, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal Record Check at time of hire.

Representative Payee

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Community Services for The Arc Alliance Children’s Services performs a variety of accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of money; computes, classifies, records, and reconciles transactions into financial accounting systems.  Researches transactions to locate and resolve discrepancies.  Provides administrative support for office functions.  Three or more years of current bookkeeping experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; proficiency generating reports using Excel; experience using accounting software, college degree preferred; one year experience providing administrative support;  2 years of customer service; excellent written and verbal communication skills. The employee must be able and willing to drive throughout The Arc Alliance service areas and visit clients as needed. Bilingual is a plus.  Current FBI, Criminal History and Child Abuse clearances will be required to be presented at time hired.  Hourly position.
