Representative Payee Support


The Representative Payee Support Under the direction of the Representative Payee Coordinator for The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services, the RP Support Staff will perform a variety of activities and provide administrative support for office functions.  20 hours a week, hourly position responsible for the following:

  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Create charts and files for new clients
  • Assist in tracking and paying each client’s expenses
  • Make bank deposit(s) as needed;
  • Receive and sort mail daily. Assist in entering and tracking received bills.
  • Create/make payments for approved client expenses, ensure proper documentation is attached
  • Maintain the digital (computer) and paper files for each client.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all Representative Payee individuals and outside agencies.
  • Communicate with individuals regarding their accounts and provide accurate responses when possible.
  • Contact suppliers, landlords, utility companies, etc., for billing clarification as needed.
  • Report to Social Security Administration/Department of Human Services (CAO/MA) and other agencies with client changes as necessary
  • Assists with completing client’s annual renewals, reports, and redetermination of benefits by supplying financial information for client as needed.

The requirements for the Representative Payee Support – Associates Degree or 1-year experience providing administrative /clerical support. Must have excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills.  Must present clean PA Criminal background check, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal Record Check, valid PA driver’s license.  Experience in bookkeeping or public service is a plus but not required.

20 hours a week, hourly position hourly/competitive – excellent benefits, 401k plan, paid disability insurance, vacation, sick, holiday pay and more!

The Supports Coordination Office Support Personnel is responsible for all clerical duties of the The Arc Alliance Supports Coordination Organization.

The Office Support must have a working knowledge of, and interest in, the Intellectual Disability system.  They must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows and common office equipment.  The candidate must possess high quality organization skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines as well as possessing excellent communication skills.

​Requirements for the Office Support are high school diploma or GED and previous experience as clerical staff in an office environment.  The candidate must present a clean PA Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal Record Check.  Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
