Samuel b. R. Saul b. 1730), who served as the chief Ritual Slaughterer in Fez, was the composer of a chronicle on the history of the Jews of Fez between the sixteenth and early eighteenth centuries.

R. Samuel was still active in that capacity in the year 1782. 77, which was sent by R. Ephraim Monsonyego and R. Judah b. Abraham Coriat, both of Tetuan, toR.
