Meaning “dry line,” a Spanish method of applycove base ing glazes that are separated by a fine line of wax resist. The wax burns off during firing, keeping the glaze separate and the clay exposed. Delft tile. A well-known traditional white and blue tile originally produced in Holland. Dot. A dot often refers to a 2" to 3" tile that is placed in a field of larger tiles.
As they start to touch, the clay becomes leather-hard. There is still sufficient water to allow you to reshape the clay. 3.
