Hello everybody, this week my blog will be about

First, I went to see the movie Grown-ups 2, it was very funny. As you may guess, Adam Sandler is my favorite actor of course. Unfortunately, I didn’t really know anyone else in the movie. I chose this because the original was great!

Getting to the movies is no easy task for me. So even though I enjoyed the movie I thought you may be interested in the process it takes for me and my family to get to a movie. From this you can imagine how it time consuming it is for me to get around.

For most people you can just get in the car and go to the movies, for me it is harder here are the steps we have to take.

1. Get dressed, it’s normally cold in the theater so we put a sweatshirt and sweatpants on. This typically takes around 15 minutes. I need help to get done.

2. Go to the car, I have a special car with a commercial grade lift to get me in. It’s hard to get in the car. Even though this is a newer car for us, it’s still tough to navigate. In this car I have a bigger space than before, however, there is about the same room for the wheelchair. This process can take 10 – 15 minutes if everything goes right.

3. Once we get there it can take 5-10 minutes to get into the theater. We order our food, I normally order a cheese quesadilla and my mom will normally order the same thing.

I sit in the front row because that’s where the handicap seating is. I like sitting up front but I’m not sure my mom does.

After the movie we do everything in reverse.

I appreciate the amount of work it takes my mom to simply take me to the movies. It can take a while to get there and back and my mom has to do a lot of physical work to get this done, but I think the movie is a great rest for her!

This summer I also went to see my grandparents and set off fireworks on the 4th of July. We had a great time I had lots of fun. Best of all we had a clam bake and I had clams which are my second favorite food. Only second to shrimp cocktail! The clams were very, very good!

Next week I will tell you about some of the things that happened to me over the summer that were not as fun as going to the movies or seeing fireworks. Camp was fun but I have some stories to tell!

Hope you have a great week and I look forward to hearing from you! Leave a comment if you would like!
