Yes. Guardianship the fees are set by court order. Representative Payee fees are set by Social Security.

A rep payee is a person or organization that is appointed by the Social Security Office to receive Social Security or SSI benefits.

Currently, we provide services in Berks, Bucks, Chester, Lancaster, Lehigh, Montgomery and Philadelphia. We have the ability to expand our services, please call our office if you are in another area and need services.

The Arc Alliance can serve as guardian but cannot be a petitioner.

Representative Payee (Rep Payee) Services

Our Representative Payee Program provides the security of money management. The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services is a qualified organization, through the Social Security Administration to receive Social Security benefits (SSI, SSD, Retirement benefits). The main duties of a Rep Payee are to use benefits to pay for the current and future needs of the beneficiary, and save any benefits not needed to meet current needs.  Reporting is submitted to Social Security on the regular and/or requested basis.

The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services provides representative payee services in many counties throughout Pennsylvania, including: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lehigh, Montgomery and Philadelphia.  We have the capability to expand these services to other counties as requested.

As Representative Payee, The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services:

  • Arranges for the client’s Social Security income to be deposited directly into an individual checking account;
  • Creates a budget to govern how the funds are to be utilized;
  • Assures prompt payment of indicated bills and disburses any agreed upon personal expense money;
  • Charges a small fee, which is determined by Social Security, plus any nominal administrative fees from our banking partners.

Do you or your loved one need a Representative Payee?

Guardianship Services

A Guardian is appointed by the Court to manage the health and/or financial affairs of an Incapacitated Person.  A judge makes a decision on capacity with testimony during a court hearing.

Guardian of the Person:

The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services provides services to individuals who are in need of someone to make decisions on their behalf that ensures their safety and well-being. The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services is appointed by the court to make personal, medical and end of life decisions as the Guardian of Person. The scope of these powers is defined by the court.

Guardian of the Estate:

The Arc Alliance Guardianship Services ensures that individual estates (financial matters) are managed and protected in a responsible (fiduciary) manner. This includes but is not limited to: filing inventory, initial and annual reports with the court and safeguarding all assets. Medical Assistance applications are processed for individuals who reside in long-term care facilities, are eligible for community waiver programs and those eligible to receive services through the Department of Human Services (DHS). The scope of these powers is defined by the court.
