Required Trainings

New Contractors must meet with Karen Haas to review The Arc Policies and Procedures (training hours given)

Completion of the training documents below is required prior to seeing children.

    1. CPR and First Aid – 0 hrs – CPR and First Aid Schedule – Click Here – (CPR: Hands-on only, First Aid: Hands-on or online training.)
    2. Fire Safety and Evacuation – 0.25 hrs – Click Here – (one training required)
    3. Child Abuse Training entitled Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse – 3 hrs Pitt training – Click Here – If you have this training already, then Mandated Reporting MUST be done – 1 hr article – Click Here

Mandated Reporting

Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse – Mandated and Permissive Reporting in PA

“3 hour online training”    If you are a brand new staff or contractor with The Arc Alliance Children’s Services you are required to do this Mandated Reporting training within 90 days of hire. Upon license renewal for therapists and all teachers this training will be required every 2 years.
