The Arc Alliance has been working to remove the barriers that infringe on a person’s opportunity to be fully included in society. We believe and support an individual’s right to make their own decisions on the life they want to live. We provide advocacy and training to families navigating the educational and I/DD system so that they know what services and supports they are entitled to in order to make life a little more “do-able”.
The Arc Alliance stays informed and promotes legislation, the federal and state process, regulations and conducts many legislative meetings with State and Local Senators and Representatives throughout the year. With the growing number of families we serve through early intervention and advocacy; our agency works to better the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through awareness of legislative issues that affect the rights or quality and quantity of services, supports and benefits. We inform and encourage our families to contact their legislators, tell their stories, and share their views on critical issues.
