This summer, Violet had an incredible opportunity to attend two weeks of horse camp, thanks to ARPA funding provided by The Arc Alliance. In addition to her regular equine therapy sessions at Fun E Farm, Violet experienced the joy of working with horses while interacting with her peers.
At horse camp, Violet learned how to catch, brush, and saddle the horses. The physical activity, especially during the riding portion, has been a great way for her to strengthen her core muscles, improve her balance, and get a full-body workout. The camp also helped Violet develop important skills like following directions and interacting with others.
Beyond the physical benefits, horse camp has had a positive impact on Violet’s behavior and daily routine. She is motivated and excited to complete her necessary activities, knowing that she gets to spend time at the farm with the horses.
For Violet, equine therapy and horse camp are more than just fun—they’re helping her grow stronger, build confidence, and find happiness.
